S.T.E.M. Activities/Project-Based Lessons
Students pick a scene from any of the books in the trilogy and recreate it as a stop motion animation using either paper drawing, cut-out or clay.
Using recycled materials, students design and construct devices to trap specific insects that are present in the area around their school.
Build a Bug
Robot building could get really technical, but I have included simple bots with simple parts for primary to intermediate level elementary students.
Amazing what such young children can do. See what is going on in Brooklyn, N.Y. at the Brooklyn Robot Foundry.
Some very cool ideas from S.T.E.M. Wire. Watch the video below
Cyborg (A living thing that is engineered so it is partly robotic). So how about a cyborg cockroach? Believe it or not, it's been done. Watch the video below and share with your students.
Ok, just a matter of time before scientists developed a robotic Cockroach...and here it is.
